Ryan LaRue is a Partner with SKLaw and has practiced law for over 14 years. His practice focuses on public law and public finance. He provides general and bond counsel services to various special districts and is involved in their creation through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the Texas Legislature.
Before joining SKLaw, Mr. LaRue worked for State Senator Tommy Williams in the Texas Senate. He held various positions and covered committees including Finance, State Affairs, Jurisprudence, Governmental Relations, and Administration. Prior to the 82nd Legislature, he was appointed Director of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Homeland Security.
An Eagle Scout and native Houstonian, Mr. LaRue graduated from Washington and Lee University with a B.A. in History in 2001 and earned his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2005. He is a parishioner at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church and a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Breeders Greeters Committee. He enjoys hiking, fishing, and traveling.
