Michael Willis is a Partner with SKLaw, and has practiced law since 2006. His practice is focused in public finance, real estate and local government law. Mr. Willis serves a general counsel, bond counsel, disclosure counsel and delinquent tax counsel to special law districts and authorities (including municipal utility districts, water control and improvement districts, fresh water supply districts, road utility districts, levee improvement districts, municipal management districts, and local government corporations) located throughout Texas. He is also involved in the creation of special law districts, both through the TCEQ and the Texas Legislature.
Mr. Willis graduated from the University of Houston in 2002. While attending South Texas College of Law, he was a member of the South Texas Law Review and clerked for the Fourteenth Court of Appeals. Mr. Willis graduated in 2005 from South Texas, magna cum laude, ranked 3rd in his class.
Mr. Willis was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2006, and is a member of the State Bar of Texas, The American Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association and Texas Young Lawyers Association.
